Deferral of Entry

Applicants offered a place on a course may apply for a deferral of entry to their course from September 2021 to September 2022. Deferral is granted in circumstances such as acute family, financial, personal or medical problems or for an opportunity to undertake significant work experience, in Ireland or abroad, in an area clearly related to the course.

Requests for deferral will be treated sympathetically. Deferrals are not granted in order to take up another course or to repeat the Leaving Certificate examination. Requests for deferral should be accompanied by all relevant documentation.
Deferral is valid for one year only.
