Christina Boland is the Traveller Liaison Officer for Mature Students. Star Pupils and the PATH 3 Travellers in Education programme. Christina is from a Traveller background herself and is available to offer confidential advice and support to Traveller students in the college.
Christina also works in the community to encourage Travellers to apply to MTU.

Katie Coffey is the Traveller Liaison Officer for Junior Cycle students. Katie’s role is to promote access to third-level for Traveller students in Junior Cycle in mainstream second-level schools in Kerry. Katie will provide information on supports that are available in the schools and in the community to help students.

STAR PUPIL TRAVELLER ACCESS TO EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Star Pupil is an interagency programme promoting access to education and work experience which provides information, guidance, support and summer work experience opportunities to students from the Traveller community who are in senior cycle in a mainstream second-level school in County Kerry.
MTU Kerry Campus reserves a number of its third level places for participants who complete the Star Pupil programme.
