Three students of accounting today received awards for excellence in recognition of their exceptional performance in the examinations of the accounting degree programme at IT Tralee. The awards for academic achievement were presented by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) which grants exemption accreditation to graduates of the IT Tralee accounting degree.

The high achieving students were: Helen O’Sullivan (Tralee), Khadija Hassan (Tralee) and Ciara Kelly (Tralee). The awards for the academic achievement were presented by Úna McShane (Head of Employer Relationships, ACCA) who commended the students on their success and outlined the range of career opportunities in accounting and finance that were now available to graduates of the IT Tralee programme.

The Business Studies degree at IT Tralee allows students to specialise from Year 2 in Accounting, Marketing or Agribusiness. The Institute has continued to develop close links with ACCA to ensure that our Accounting students gain maximum exemptions from the professional examinations and position themselves well for their future careers.
